BMW E34 535i Sport | £7,995
Mileage: 33,464Model History
The E34 535i Sport was introduced to the UK market in 1989. It utilized the iconic M30 engine that has powered BMWs for 28 years starting in 1968, including championship winning touring cars in the form of the E9 CSLs and the E24 coupes.
The E34 535i Sport had 211bhp at 5700 rpm and 225 lbft at 4000 rpm. This propelled the car from 0-60 mph in 7.5 seconds via the 5 speed manual Getrag transition.
All official UK Sport models came factory fitted with aerodynamic M Technic body styling, consisting of front and rear bumpers, side skirts and M Technic rear boot spoiler. In addition to this they also came factory fitted with the following standard equipment - cloth or leather BMW sports seats - leather trim (a £1079 optional extra), M Technic I steering wheel, limited-slip differential, 30 mm lower M Technic sports suspension manufactured by Boge/Bilstien, close ratio 5-speed manual gearbox or the switchable (EH) 4-speed ZF automatic transmission (a £1860 optional extra), shadowline tail pipe trim, chrome exterior trim or shadowline trim (a £389 cost option), 15" BBS alloy wheels - the very earliest Sport models came with larger 415 mm BBS forged TRX alloys with metric tyres.

Exterior
This stunning BMW is finished in Granite Silver Metallic. The exterior of this pampered 535i Sport is in excellent order and truly defies its 23 year age still retaining a deep glossy shine. On close inspection all of the paintwork appears to be original and the only imperfections are a few light stone chips to the front end and a small lacquer mark on the O/S front wing. The waist moldings and bumper plastic are all scuff free and remain in excellent condition. All the window rubbers are in good condition and the lights and glass free from chips or cracks.
This beautiful 33k mile car still bares both original 'Reg Vardy' number plates and rear window sticker.
Interior
The BMWs cabin is a lovely place to be and still smells factory fresh. The light silver leather is in remarkable condition and still feels soft and supple to the touch and is free from any signs of wear or cracking. The M Tech steering wheel and gear knob show no signs of use and again the leather is in wonderful condition. All of the plastic trim and dash are free from any marks and all of the controls work exactly as they should. The carpets are showing no wear throughout and are still protected by the immaculate BMW over mats.
The boot area remains free from any signs of use and the BMW tool kit is unused. The spotless spare alloy wheel is shod in matching Michelin TRX rubber.
Engine & Transmission
This example has only covered a mere 33,464 miles and has every MOT certificate to back up the mileage, as you would expect it is in perfect mechanical order and remains tight and responsive. Recent work carried out includes an oil and filter change, a replacement battery and a full inspection.
The car sailed through an MOT on 07th October 2013 with no advisories. The engine produces wonderfully smooth performance at speed and idles perfectly up to temperature.
The close ratio 5 speed manual gearbox feels light and accurate shifting through the gears.
Wheels, Tyres & Brakes
The car sits on the desirable 415 mm BBS forged TRX alloys that are in excellent condition and have never needed refurbishment, the only blemish being a couple of light marks to the O/S front wheel. They are shod in matching set of period Michelin TRX tyres all round that have plenty of tread. The front and rear brakes are in perfect working condition and make little effort to bring the fast saloon to a standstill.
History File
This M535i was originally supplied by BMW L&C in April 1990 and then stayed in the BMW service network till 1999 when the car had done 15k miles. Subsequently the car has been serviced by independents with the last being done at 33,043 miles. All the services are stamped in the original service book.
The history file contains every MOT from new so the low mileage can be easily verified and there are also recent service invoices detailing the work that has been carried out. The registration document shows 4 previous keepers but the last change was from husband to wife.
The car also comes with its original document holder with all the owners handbooks, its original dealer number plates and a set of spare keys.
